Flamingo

a sunset pink. cherry blossoms to remind me of fragility. torn like a tornado. light and airy is a dream faraway. heavy mornings lead me to wrapping my arms around the ground beneath me. which seems to float and rock like a boat traveling towards the overtaking sun in the horizon who makes its presence known, not to be forgotten, gleaming high in the sky. a voyage. flying in the ocean. sinking in the heavens above. the bellowing waves and calling of the birds tell me that i should be a comfort, not a vulture, to my own being. i yearn for the softness i give. i borrow the garment i am to others. covering, enveloping, protecting, nurturing. a sanctuary.
