Replication Installation

The procedures to be performed on the Master and Replica servers during the installation process are as follows. I made, on which servers the transactions will take place are specified like on the “Master” and “Replica” servers.

2. The following settings are made in Postgresql.conf;

The 192.168.56.114/32 Replica(Slave) server used here is the 192.168.56.113/32 Master host.

4. In order to synchronize the Postgresql data created in Replica and Primary, the files in the Postgresql Instance folder created on the Replica server is deleted.

5. After deleting the file, the file path is checked.

6. After these processes are completed on the replica server, the replication between the Master and Slave(Replica) server is started.

What is the Replication Slot ?

Physical Replication Slot sends data changes in disk blocks to the replica server. Checks the transferred WAL files.

In this way, the data in the Wal files is taken under control and the synchronization between the Primary and Replica servers is preserved.

The following query can be used for the created replication slot control.

To delete the slot;
